Who these terms are between

These terms are between Polaris Technologies (SSM registration 202603066744 · AS0511535-P), which operates ezResit, and (a) the merchant whose order or pilot agreement references them, and (b) anyone who taps an ezResit tile, opens a receipt link, or uses the wallet. Using the service means accepting them.

A merchant's order confirmation or pilot agreement sits alongside these terms. Where the two disagree, that document wins.

The service

ezResit captures the receipt output a POS sends to its printer, presents the newest receipt to a customer's phone over NFC for a short window at the counter, and serves each receipt at a unique link that stays readable for up to 180 days. Merchants get a dashboard covering receipts, devices, feedback, loyalty, and branding. Customers can view and save receipts, and optionally keep them in a phone-verified wallet.

Anything described as planned, illustrative, or in testing is not a promise. Features can change during early access.

Early access

The service is provided on an early-access basis. We do not promise specific setup times, POS compatibility beyond the setups we have verified for you, uninterrupted availability, or any business outcome. We will tell you plainly what we have and have not verified.

Merchant accounts

• Keep your account credentials confidential and tell us promptly if they are compromised.
• Staff invitations are for your own team; each invited member signs in with their own email.
• Authorized ezResit staff may access your account to provide support you ask for or to investigate problems. That access is logged.

The tile

The ezResit tile is sold to the merchant under the terms in the order confirmation, which sets the price, delivery, and any warranty. Install it as instructed and tell us if it fails or is damaged.

Do not open, modify, or reflash the tile. Interference with a device or its credentials can suspend the service for your whole account.

Fees and billing

Subscription fees and any hardware charges are set out in your order confirmation or pilot agreement and are billed through our payment provider, HitPay.

If a subscription lapses or is suspended, your tiles stop delivering new receipts and pairing is refused. Receipt links that already exist keep working until their normal expiry, so your customers are not cut off mid-receipt.

What merchants are responsible for

• Receipt content. Your POS produces it and you are responsible for what it contains. Do not route anything unlawful through the service, and do not put payment-card numbers, identity-card numbers, or passwords on receipts.
• Customer data. For personal data in your receipts and your customer lists, you are the data user under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010; we process it to provide the service to you.
• Marketing consent. Contact only customers who have opted in to hear from you, honor a revocation promptly, and keep your own records for any customer data you export.
• Your review link. A Google review link you set must point to your own genuine listing, and its use must follow Google's rules.
• Bearer links. A receipt link opens the receipt for whoever holds it. Re-send or re-present a receipt only to the customer it belongs to.

If you are a customer

• A receipt link opens that receipt for anyone holding it, for up to 180 days. Keep yours the way you would keep a paper receipt.
• The wallet is optional. Signing up verifies your phone number with a one-time code and keeps you signed in for 30 days.
• Marketing messages are opt-in per shop and can be turned off any time in the wallet. You can also delete your wallet there.
• Questions about a charge or about what a receipt says belong to the merchant. They produced it.
• Do not probe, scrape, or interfere with receipt links, devices, or the service.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service for anything unlawful; to send, store, or display content that infringes others' rights; to attempt to access another merchant's or customer's data; to reverse engineer or interfere with the devices or the service; or to probe or test its security without written permission.

Intellectual property

The ezResit service, software, device firmware, and this site belong to Polaris Technologies. Your branding, receipt content, and business data remain yours. A customer's copy of a receipt remains theirs to keep.

Privacy

How personal data is collected, used, and protected is described in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, unlawful use, security risk, or non-payment. A merchant may end the service under their order terms. Export what you need from the dashboard while your account is active. Receipt history and consented customer lists export to CSV. After termination, existing receipt links expire on their normal schedule and we may retain records where the law or ledger integrity requires it.

Disclaimers and liability

During early access the service is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no promises beyond those in your order confirmation, to the extent the law allows.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit, lost goodwill, or data lost by your own systems. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that Malaysian law does not allow to be excluded.

The accuracy, legality, and content of a receipt are the merchant's responsibility. We deliver what the till printed.

Force majeure

Neither side is liable for a failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, war, civil unrest, power or telecommunications failures, and failures of the third-party infrastructure the service runs on.

If such an event continues for more than 30 days and materially prevents the service, either side may end the affected arrangement. Any fees already paid are handled under your order confirmation.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version replaces this page and the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
